Herd Group at the Great British Fleet Event 2026

Back in April, the Herd team headed to Arena MK in Milton Keynes for the Great British Fleet Event 2026, joining fleet operators and suppliers from across the industry for a day of conversations around some of the challenges currently shaping fleet operations.

Exhibiting on stand F9 gave the team the opportunity to speak directly with fleet operators about their vehicle requirements, including businesses considering where electric LCVs could fit within their operations. Range, charging infrastructure, vehicle usage and potential downtime were among the practical considerations being discussed, particularly where businesses were trying to understand which parts of their fleet may be suitable for electrification.

For Herd, those conversations are less about assuming electric is the right answer for every vehicle and more about understanding how a fleet is actually being used. Mileage, duty cycles, operating costs and access to charging all play a part in determining where an electric vehicle could work effectively and where another option may still be better suited.

The Great British Fleet Event provided a useful opportunity to have those conversations face to face, while hearing directly from fleet operators about the pressures, changes and vehicle requirements they are managing within their own businesses.
